París a través del objetivo: la ciudad se ve (y se vive) en imágenes

Paris in November has a different kind of light.

Lower, golden, more intimate. It’s a city that slows down, inviting you to look with calm, to linger on the reflections over the Seine or the rain-soaked façades. It’s no coincidence that photographers adore it at this time of year — the capital becomes a laboratory of light, texture, and emotion.

And right in the middle of this setting comes one of the year’s most anticipated events: Paris Photo, the international fair that transforms the city into the world’s epicenter of photography.

Paris Photo: when the city becomes a gallery

From November 13 to 16, 2025, the Grand Palais Éphémère, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, will host more than 200 galleries from around the world. Its halls bring together legendary names like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Vivian Maier with new voices exploring the boundaries of contemporary imagery.

For four days, Paris beats to a single visual rhythm — that of those who see the world through a camera. Talks, exhibitions, screenings, and photobook signings turn the city into a living tribute to photography.

Beyond the artworks themselves, what moves visitors about Paris Photo is that shared sense of wonder — the feeling of those who search for a story, an emotion, or a truth in every image.

Beyond the Grand Palais: the photographic spirit of Paris

During those days — and the ones that follow — art spreads throughout the city. Paris breathes photography on every corner.

In the Marais, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie always hosts unmissable exhibitions, where renowned artists coexist with fresh perspectives. Nearby, Galerie Polka has become a cult spot to discover emerging talents and auteur photojournalism.

In the Place de Clichy neighborhood, Le Bal offers a more alternative experience: an independent space devoted to documentary and contemporary imagery, with an atmosphere that feels almost like a creative laboratory.

And if you find yourself lost among images, you can always end the route at the Librairie du Jeu de Paume, where photobooks become small works of art — a way to take home a piece of Paris.

At Hotel Pulitzer Paris, art isn’t confined to museums. It’s in the light streaming through the windows, in the harmony of materials, in the soft colors that invite calm. The hotel shares with photography that pursuit of beauty in the everyday — that way of capturing moments and turning them into lasting emotions.

Between visits, the Pulitzer’s inner courtyard is the perfect hideaway: a place to review the day’s photos, find inspiration for the next shot, or simply enjoy a coffee while watching the evening settle over the 9th arrondissement.

Here, creativity isn’t an event. It’s a state of mind.
